Help with breastfed infant?

My daughter is 6.5 months old & she is very stuck to me all the time. It drives me batty at times. I feel like I can get nothing done plus . She does not let anyone (including her daddy) hold her. She freaks out & as soon as I take her back/pick up she is fine. It is like a light switch. I have heard from a few people that she is like that because she is breastfed. She has only had maybe 5-6 bottles in her lifetime. Do you think that could be true. I need a break sometimes but can not deal with her screaming. Any help/advice would be great.
